Cardiology

A collaborative initiative designed to accelerate pediatric innovation by connecting clinicians, researchers and families through practical research and measurable outcomes.

Understanding the Cardiology Challenge

Pediatric cardiology spans 105 known conditions. Congenital heart disease, the most common, alone affects 1 in every 100 children born — and worldwide, 90% of those children receive inadequate care or none at all.

"It's not like it's 20 miles away to get the baby to imaging. It's 250 miles to get to the nearest ultrasound machine."

What is changing in this field

AI, built and trained for medical imaging, can help surface patterns in an echocardiogram or EKG that a general read might miss. The next frontier: precision built for one condition at a time, not applied broadly across all of them.

What we are building toward

What we are building toward

Most AI reads and writes text — not the large, complex imaging cardiac diagnosis depends on, and not without compromising privacy. We build differently: an agent for each condition, designed around imaging and privacy from the start.

The Atlas

A disease-precise map of pediatric cardiac conditions: how each one presents, progresses, and differs from the rest. The foundation every tool we build starts from.

What's Ahead

Agents and apps spanning structural, electrical, and inflammatory conditions. Reaching clinics without this expertise today.

Patient Story

Annamarie's daughter was born with a congenital heart defect. A routine newborn screening test caught the warning sign, but confirming it, and treating it, required an echocardiogram machine her local hospital didn't have. The condition is often treatable if it's caught fast enough. But "fast enough" depends entirely on how far away help happens to be, and for families far from a children's hospital, that distance can decide everything.
